John C. Gorman

John C. Gorman, 65, of Parma, formerly of Huron, passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, in University Hospital, Cleveland.John was born June 22, 1950, in Sandusky and lived in Huron until he went into the Navy in 1972. He graduated from Huron High School. After getting out of the Navy he graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting.He worked for RR Donelley & Sons in Willard for 25 years, retiring in 1998.John enjoyed golfing and was an avid OSU fan. He enjoyed his 4-month-old first granddaughter.He is survived by his wife, Linda (Sewell) Gorman of Parma, to whom he was married for 37 years; stepdaughter, Jennifer Payne of Louisville, Ky.; sons, Stephen D. (Martha) Gorman of Parma and Michael J. (Natalie) Gorman of Dublin, Ireland; granddaughter, Dacey M. Gorman; a sister-in-law, Brenda (Jay) Young of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and brothers, Charles (Kathy) Gorman of Colorado Springs, Colo., Richard (Michele) Gorman of Seattle, Wash., Jeff (Kay) Gorman of North Ridgeville and James (Maureen) Gorman of Pennsylvania.He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty (Brown) Gorman.Cremation has taken place and a Military Service will be held in Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio, at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Animal Protective League, 1729 Willey Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113.Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, Huron, is handling the arrangements.Condolences may be shared at fosterfh.com.
