Foundation seeks scholarship recipients

SANDUSKY — The Erie County Community Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2026 academic year. "As an organization dedicated to building a thriving Erie County, we currently manage 46 named scholarship funds designed to support high school seniors, current college students and non-traditional learners," according to a foundation statement. "Our impact continues to grow: In 2025 alone, we awarded nearly $225,000 to 80 local students." "To ensure efficiency, we cannot accept paper applications," the foundation noted. • The deadline to submit is 11:59 p.m. on March 1. "Since our founding in 1995, the foundation has distributed over $2.25 million in scholarships to support the educational dreams of more than 1,400 students," the statement read. "We would appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity with the community to ensure every eligible student has the chance to apply."
