Lakeside seeks art inspired by America's beauty

LAKESIDE-MARBLEHEAD — In celebration of the United States' 250th anniversary, Lakeside Chautauqua invites artists and art enthusiasts to participate in "America the Beautiful: Celebrating Our 250 Years," a juried art exhibit on display July 1-31 at the Lakeside Train Station. The exhibit will showcase 2D artwork that captures the beauty, spirit and landscapes of the nation while reflecting a shared appreciation for the people, places and ideals that define America. Artists of all ages — amateur and professional — are encouraged to submit original paintings, drawings and photography inspired by the resilience, creativity and natural beauty found across the country. From sweeping landscapes to vibrant community life and cherished traditions, submissions should reflect what connects and uplifts us. This exhibit is strictly non-political and is intended to honor the nation in an inclusive and unifying spirit. Both artists and guests are invited to experience a month-long celebration of creativity and connection as Lakeside commemorates this historic milestone through art.
