Police: Man choked and punched woman

SANDUSKY — A Sandusky man was charged Sunday with domestic violence and assault after he allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck and punched her in the face.Sandusky police arrested Larone M. Knight, 35, of the 1700 block of W. Madison St., who is also charged with violating a protection order.The woman told police she and Knight were in Fremont when Knight began speaking with other women, according to a police report. This apparently sparked an argument as the two traveled home.When Knight and the woman arrived at the residence in the 100 block of W. Cowdery St. at about 3:50 a.m., the argument "turned physical."The woman said Knight began to choke her and punched her several times in the face, the report read.When officers arrived, they noticed scratches on the woman's neck and swelling above her nose and above her left eye, according to the report.Knight told police the woman told him to leave the home after they had returned.
