NORTHWOOD — The St. Mary Central Catholic boys basketball team kept hopes of a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division title alive with a 69-36 road win over Northwood on Thursday. SMCC (16-3, 10-2 SBC River) led just 11-10 after one quarter, but outscored the Rangers 26-10 in the second quarter. Cayden Wikel topped the Panthers with 16 points while Sam Lawrence tallied 12 points. Trace Smith scored 11 points for SMCC. ST. Frankie Kovach topped Danbury with 33 points, reaching the 1,000 career points total during the game. Eli Knight registered 14 points for the Lakers.
