Sandusky Bulldogs win OAC state championship

The Sandusky Bulldogs 12U team won its third straight Ohio Athletic Committee youth tackle football state championship in a tournament held Nov. 3-4 at Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center.The Bulldogs, coached by Fred Chaney, consist of players from Sandusky, Huron and Edison. The Bulldogs opened the competition at Sports Force with a 26-0 victory over Buckeye Central, then defeated the Lake County Storm, 26-0.Sandusky defeated Avon Lake, 20-0, in the championship game.Along with the three consecutive OAC state championships (2016-18), the Bulldogs were named OSYFC North Champions in 2015 and 2016, as well as Little Buckeye Conference champions in 2013 and 2014.The Bulldogs were OAC state runners-up in 2011.Playing for the Sandusky Bulldogs were: Amier Aaron, Jason Helon, Tommie McDonald, Jamarius White, Dale Johnson, Idreas McKree, Keelan Lockhart, Armani Wootford, Mike Smith, Landon Parker, Cameron Kruse, Marion Irby, Aazoriyon Bonner, Riley Dean, Braylen Johnson, Naz Smith, Conner Churchwell, Shamonte Johnson, Shanon Aaron, Dennarius Walk, John Baker, Juelz Phillips, and Ulysses Scott.The Sandusky Bulldogs 12U team won the Ohio Athletic Committee youth tackle football state championship Nov. 4 at Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center.
