PREP ROUNDUP: North Baltimore's Allison scores 61 points against Streaks

SANDUSKY — North Baltimore's Lacie Allison scored a school-record and Big House record 61 points, lifting the Tigers past Sandusky 86-68 in non-league action Saturday. Allison had 19 points at halftime for North Baltimore (18-2) before exploding for 42 points in the second half. The Tigers needed it as Sandusky (3-16) pulled within 58-53 after three quarters. Allison scored 24 points in the fourth quarter as North Baltimore outscored the Streaks 28-15 over the final eight minutes. Cassidy Stovall had seven 3-pointers en route to a team-high 27 points for Sandusky. Maekhiya Rameau added 18 points and Shauntha Wilson tallied 17 points for the Streaks. Monroeville (11-5, 9-3 FC) moved into a tie atop the FC standings with Plymouth (13-6, 9-3) after the Big Red lost at the buzzer against Crestview. With two wins, the Eagles are assured at least a share of their first FC championship since the 1983-84 season. In the win over the Wildcats, Derek Ackerman and Alec Schafer each scored 11 points while Cole Perry added eight points. The Pirates got pins from Tyler Deering (113 pounds), Rajon Randleman (120), Jaycion Everett (144), Braxden Martin (150) and Law Davlin (165). Hunter Schwerer (106) recorded a technical fall and Tre Harvey (157) earned a decision. Bellevue had to win two matches to advance to the final eight. The Redmen started their day with a 47-29 win over Celina before a 35-34 win over Wapakoneta. Thomas Reesman (113), Nolan Hartman (144), Ben Jacobs (150) and Noah Green (190) had pins for the Redmen. In the win to advance to state, the Redmen got pins from Jacobs, Owen Sterritt (132), Tatum Gore (190) and Deacon Nunez (285). In Division III, Port Clinton lost 44-31 to Delta in the first round of its bracket. Elliot Laird (144), Gavin Cornell (150) and Malakii Pinkelton (190) had pins for PC. Edison defeated Mohawk 51-28 for third place in its regional bracket after losing 54-24 to Liberty Center in a semifinal. BOWLING Sandusky sweeps Eastwood SANDUSKY — The Blue Streaks wrapped up the regular season with a sweep of Eastwood in non-league action at the Cedar Center. In boys action, Sandusky (20-1) topped the Eagles, 2,765-1,974. Senior Landen Ebeling led the Blue Streaks with medalist games of 257-174 for a 431 series. Caiden Brengartner added games of 204-202 for a 406 series. In the girls match, Sandusky (10-9) was victorious, 2,080-1,984. Senior captain Makayla Popke led the Streaks with medalist games of 176-212 for a 388 series. Violet Rose added games of 189-139 for a 328 series. Sandusky is off until sectional bowling action Feb. 17 (boys) and Feb. 19 (girls).
