FREMONT — Fourteen players scored in St. Mary Central Catholic's 70-22 victory over winless Fremont St. Joseph in a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division boys basketball game Thursday. Blake Finneran and Trace Smith led the Panthers with nine points each. The Division VII No. 10 Panthers improved to 12-1 overall and 7-1 in the River Division. SMCC is scheduled to host Cardinal Stritch on Saturday before hosting Gibsonburg next Tuesday in a showdown for first place in the River. Gibsonburg is 8-1 in division play. Old Fort is 6-1 in the River.
