Leadership group hears from school leaders

FREMONT — Last week, those involved with Leadership Sandusky County — an organization committed to developing leaders who will improve the quality of life in the area — came together for their monthly session, which focused on time management and education. "Tim Wasserman, of WassWorks Consulting, hosted the morning session, teaching the class better ways to manage time throughout their personal and professional lives," according to a statement from the leadership group. "In the afternoon, we moved to Terra State Community College where we heard from a panel of education leaders within Sandusky County." Among those addressing the group included: • Chad Coffman of Lakota Schools • Greg Edinger of Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Centers • Lucas Messer of Clyde-Green Springs Schools • Troy Roth of Bellevue Schools • Dr. Bob Falkenstein of Gibsonburg Schools • Denise Hirt of Fremont Schools • Kim Cope of Bishop Hoffman Catholic School • Dr. Cory Stine of Terra State Community College "After the panel, we had the pleasure of learning more about North Point Educational Service Center from superintendent Andrea Smith," the statement read, adding how North Point "is a key player in Sandusky County's business advisory council and provides support to all of our local school districts." The day concluded with members checking out Terra State's campus, which included personal tours from the professors themselves" in various areas, ranging from electrical to robotics and health care. "We'd like to thank everyone for being part of this experience, and a special thank you to Terra State for hosting our class and providing a tour.
