Update 6:03 p.m. MARGARETTA TWP. — Multiple crashes occurred on the Thomas A. Edison Memorial Bridge (Ohio 2) on Monday afternoon, contributing to hours of closures. The bridge reopened to one lane of traffic in both directions shortly before 6 p.m. A semi truck was involved in one of the crashes. A photo shared by the Ohio Department of Transportation shows the front end of the vehicle stuck atop a guard rail with the cab of the vehicle perpendicular to the road and blocking at least one lane. "Please continue to use extreme caution when traveling," the department posted. "The north/south roads will continue to take time to restore to normal conditions." The total number of vehicles involved in the crashes — which came amid wintry weather that caused slippery road surfaces — was not immediately known. No injuries were reported as of Monday evening. No injuries were reported in that crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, but troopers said the road will be shut down.
