School hosting 2 free planetarium shows

SANDUSKY — Those representing Sandusky Schools and the Sidney Frohman Planetarium — 2130 Hayes Ave. (Ohio 4), Sandusky, located behind Sandusky High School — invite the community to attend any of the free, upcoming shows. Sunday, Jan. 11 • "Winter Skies over Sandusky" — Starting at 1 p.m., it's a tour of local stars. • "Sunstruck" — Starting at 2 p.m., discover how the sun influences Earth's weather in this full-dome movie. "Both Sunday programs will now conclude with a live night sky presentation to show you exactly what to look for after sunset," according to the planetarium. Thursday, Jan. 15 • Jupiter Telescope Night takes place at 7 p.m. "Don't miss this rare opportunity to visit our observatory. We begin in the planetarium for a deep dive into the planet Jupiter, followed by a guided viewing session at the telescope hosted by Mr. Mitch Luman."
