Sandusky Library looking forward to 2026

SANDUSKY — The Sandusky Library has a full calendar of programs this January, including history talks, wellness sessions and activities for kids. Among some featured events: • MLK Day Programs: 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the Sandusky High School Auditorium — The Lange Trust presents Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech performed by Pastor Dr. Reverend John H. McCants. It's free for Erie County residents. • Lunch & Learn | Thanks to Garrett Morgan: Noon on Jan. 20 — Discover the life and legacy of Cleveland's inventor extraordinaire. Bring a bagged lunch. • The Buss About Beekeeping: 2 p.m. on Jan. 24 — Learn the basics of beekeeping with the Sandusky River Valley Beekeeper's Association. • Mastering Your Taxes: 2 p.m. on Jan. 27 — VacationLand Federal Credit Union offers tips for tax season. • An Ohio First | The Mad River & Lake Erie Railroad: 2 p.m. on Jan. 31 — Explore the history of the first railroad charted west of the Appalachians, which began in Sandusky.
