RECURRING EVENTS Sandusky • Sandusky Christmas Market: From 5 – 8 p.m. Fridays, noon – 8 p.m., Saturdays and noon – 6 p.m. Sundays, in the Schade-Mylander Plaza located at 108 W. Shoreline Drive. This festive event is set to bring together the extended community to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. Hosted by the Jim Corso Family Foundation in cooperation with the City of Sandusky, Shores & Islands Ohio and the Greater Sandusky Partnership. This Christmas Market transforms downtown Sandusky into a magical winter wonderland with an array of local artisans, festive food vendors, live entertainment and fun for the entire family. The event takes place every weekend until December 21. • Lights on the NorthCoast: From 5:30 – 9 p.m., every day until New Years Eve, at the Erie County Fairgrounds located at 3110 Columbus Avenue. Jingle Bell Rock towards Lights on the NorthCoast's Christmas Drive-thru light display and Interactive Walk-thru light display. There will be an epic amount of over 1 million lights. Also join in on the holiday fun with indoor Christmas-themed putt-putt, Christmas Village, food trucks, and much more. • After School Snacks: From 4-4:45 p.m. every weekday, the Sandusky Library will host snacktime for anyone under 18. Teachers enjoy half off charcuterie while you grade assignments, create lesson plans, and unwind with your friends. • Toddler Tales: From 10 – 11 a.m every Wednesday, at Sandusky Library located at 114 W. Adams Street. Read books, sing songs with movement, explore age appropriate art, and more. This event is geared towards ages 18 months to 3 years old. No registration is required. • Breakfast Buddies: From 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., every other Thursday, at the Campbell Christian Community Center, located at 1215 Campbell Street. Enjoy a free morning made just for parents, grandparents and their preschool or younger little ones. Each week features a fun theme with breakfast, fun crafts, hands-on activities, interactive storytimes, and free diapers and wipes to take home. There is no cost to attend. • Toddler Day: From noon to 4 p.m. every Thursday, Ghostly Manor Thrill Center, 3319 Milan Road, will offer free admission to its skate and play areas for children 5 and under. Homeschoolers welcome. There is no cost to attend or registration required. • General Trivia: From 7-9 p.m. on Fridays, the Sandusky Book Bar, 2101 W. Perkins Ave., will host all-ages trivia. Experience electrifying nights with LED lights, lasers and high-energy dance music spun by a live DJ. Dress in your favorite neon or glow-in-the-dark apparel. Jump passes start at $15, but there is no additional ticket cost to attend the Glow Party. Norwalk • Storytime: Every Thursday from 10:30 – 11 a.m., at the Norwalk Public Library located at 46 W. Main Street. Encourage a love of reading and learning as we introduce your little one to books, rhymes and songs. Geared towards ages birth to 5. No registration required. Port Clinton • Eddie's Winter Wonderland: 5 – 9 p.m., Sunday – Thursday, and 5 – 10 p.m., Friday – Saturday, at Fast Eddie's Sports Park, located at 280 S.E. Catawba Road. This Winter we are once again converting our beautiful miniature golf course into a fully playable walk-through holiday light experience. Families of all ages can experience a beautiful, interactive, holiday experience unlike any other in the area. Including a Santa's Workshop that will offer holiday craft tables, s'more kits, fire pits, hot cocoa, hot adult beverages, holiday character visits, and of course Santa. Proceeds will benefit the Ottawa County Workforce Hub for Career Advancement. Weekdays are $12 for adults and $8 for kids, and weekends are $15 for adults and $11 for kids. • Afternoon Storytime: From 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. every Thursday at Ida Rupp Public Library located at 310 Madison Street. If you can't make it to the regular Tuesday morning story time, join the library for a half hour afternoon story time to enjoy stories, music, movement, crafts, activities, and socialization. In case you have older children who need to be picked up from the elementary school, we plan to wrap up in time to get in line for after school pickup. There is no registration required. • Slater's Famous Jazz Night: Every Wednesday from 6:30-9:30 p.m., Slater's Food and Spirits, 1634 E. Perry St., will host live jazz music. Huron • Osborn MetroPark parkrun: Parkrun is a timed 5K walk/jog/run happening every Saturday at 9 a.m. at Osborn MetroPark, 3910 Perkins Ave. The event is free and open to all ages; people are welcome to bring their strollers or dogs. Registration is required and can be done at parkrun.us/register. • Family Storytime: Every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., the Huron Public Library, 333 Williams St., will host storytime with Miss Melissa. Catawba Road. Get cozy this season inside our festive Oast Lodge. Each week, we'll feature two iconic holiday films, perfect for all ages — no tickets, just show up and settle in. Expect warm drinks and even warmer vibes with popcorn and classic movie theater candy, cocktails & beer, hot chocolate (spiked or classic), free blanket rentals to keep things cozy, and anyone in pajamas or onesies gets $1 off any beer or hot chocolate. There is no cost to attend or registration required. Port Clinton • Annual Open House: From 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday at Liberty Aviation Museum located at 3515 E. State Road. Enjoy free admission for everyone and explore the museum's collection of historic aircraft and exhibits. Marblehead • Marblehead Lighthouse Christmas Shop: From noon – 4 p.m., at the Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society located at 110 Lighthouse Drive. Support local and the Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society by visiting the special holiday hours at the gift shop. Oak Harbor • Story Time with Miss Holly: Beginning at 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 210 Finke Road. Join Ms. Holly for an in person storytime every week. Enjoy time with new friends, a story, a snack and a take-home craft. Meet at the large shelter house at the park. No registration is required. Fremont • Family Storytime: 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays at the Birchard Public Library. Enjoy stories, songs and fun for the whole family. • Hayes Train Special: During regular business hours at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Museum and Library, located at Spiegel Grove. Sponsored by the Knight Family, this operating model train display runs through an intricate Victorian holiday scene. Interactive buttons allow visitors to control aspects of the trains' movements along the winding, multi-tiered layout. Access to the "Hayes Train Special" is free, although donations will be accepted. The "Hayes Train Special" will be open through Sunday, January 4. FRIDAY Sandusky • Holiday Blood Drive: From 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Sandusky Mall, located at 4314 Milan Road. Show your holiday spirit and give back by giving blood at the American Red Cross Holiday Blood Drive. You'll receive an exclusive long-sleeve Red Cross T-shirt. Get your gifts wrapped too as the Red Cross will also have a gift wrapping station so you can get your gifts wrapped while you give blood. Lakeside Marblehead • Winter Solstice Workshop: From 7 –8:30 p.m., at Soul Stretch & Yoga Cycle Studio, located at 5826 E. Harbor Road. Come celebrate the shortest and darkest day of the year with Soul Stretch Yoga. The night begins with a specially themed Winter Restorative Yoga Class by candlelight with Rose, ending with a Healing Sound Bath by Lesley Turski of Cleveland Sound Healing. Join The Emporium for an unforgettable evening of music, art, food, and community impact all while supporting the UnitedWayErieCounty! Meet local hair artists Mary Beth White, Phil Parker, and Ja'Leen McGee, plus tattoo artist Athena Pribanic, as they share their creative journeys and inspirations in a pannel discussion. SUNDAY Huron • Christmas Around the World: Beginning at 3:30 p.m., at Port Clinton High School, located at 811 S. Jefferson Street. Enjoy a touch of tradition, a dash of jazz, and a healthy measure of festive cheer with the Burning River Brass, presented by the Music Art Series. There is no cover charge and seating is first come, first serve. Bellevue • Christmas in the Village: From 1 – 5 p.m., at Historic Lyme Village, located at 5001 SR 4. Plan to make a trip out to Historic Lyme Village. Christmas in the Village is a wonderful time to visit all the decorated buildings, including the beautifully-decorated John Wright Mansion. The children will have an opportunity to go to the Merry Schoolhouse to write a letter to Santa, then go to the Post Office to mail it, and finally, visit the mansion where there will be a surprise waiting Treats will also be available in the the open buildings and the Carriage House Café. Admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, $6 for ages 6 – 12 and free for kids under 5 with a paying adult.
