VERMILION — Mason Cooper scored 24 points to lead Vermilion to a 61-47 boys basketball win over Western Reserve on Thursday. Brock Meyers added 17 for the Sailors, who improved to 3-1 with the non-conference victory. Vermilion built a 10-point halftime lead. Hayden Dobias led Western Reserve (1-2) with 15 points.
