Sheriff's office receive 'generous donation'

PERKINS TWP. — Those at the Erie County Sheriff's Office recently thanked Family Health Services for what law enforcement officials called a "very generous donation." "The donation comes as a result of our participation in the annual Family Health Services golf scramble," according to an office statement. "Our team this year consisted of deputies Chad Henderson and Paul DeFazio, Detective Dan Vladiff and chief Deputy Jim Greenham." Family Health Services' third-annual golf scramble occurred in September at Plum Brook Country Club in the Sandusky area. The event brought together golfers, local leaders and area businesses for a day of competition and community connection all in support of expanded health care access and emergency services. Organized in partnership with American Legion Post 83 and Fisher-Titus, this year's tournament raised funds for two causes: • Family Health Services' prenatal program, which provides risk assessments, health education and therapeutic care to expectant mothers • Local first responders, "continuing a tradition of honoring their service and commitment to the community," according to an organizational statement
