The Pirates (2-2, 1-0) trailed 24-20 at halftime, but used a 15-7 edge in the third quarter and 12-8 advantage in the fourth quarter to win. Jordyn Brunner scored 17 points for Perkins while Mallorie Jones chipped in 16 points. WRESTLING Clyde runner-up at Edison Invite MILAN TWP. — The Fliers had two individual champions Saturday at the Edison Invitational, finishing runner-up as a team. Medina Buckeye won the team championship with 235 points while Clyde tallied 182.5 points. Port Clinton was fifth (171.5 points), Edison finished seventh (144), Monroeville took 10th (75.5) and Margaretta was 12th (31.5). Heath Norris was champion at 120 pounds for Clyde. He was 5-0 on the day, defeating Western Reserve's Lucas Summerfield in the final with a pin in 1:32. Michael Gessner took the title at 150 for the Fliers. He finished 4-0, topping Port Clinton's Gavin Cornell in the final, 3-2 on a tiebreaker. Edison's Cohen Reeer won the championship at 106. He went 6-0, winning three matches by pin and three by technical fall. Owen Patchen was champion at 132 for Monroeville. Patchen was 5-0, defeating Edison's Xander Gfell-King in the final, 16-1. Port Clinton's Jace Cornell won the championship at 157. He finished 5-0, winning the title with a pin in 4:45. Edison's Kamden Horvath (138) and Josiah Walborn (165), as well as Port Clinton's Caleb Spencer (175) and Monroeville's Brycen Dunlap (285) were runners-up. Bellevue's Lewis wins at Ashland ASHLAND — Bellevue senior Landen Lewis went 5-0 at the Ashland Sarver Paving Invitational, taking home the individual championship at 126 pounds. The Redmen finished runner-up as a team with 247 points. Ashland won the team title with 275 points. Lewis tallied two technical falls, two major decisions and a pin for Bellevue. Owen Sterritt (132), Nolan Hartman (144), Ben Jacobs (150) and Tatum Gore (190) each took second for the Redmen. Norwalk runner-up in Mansfield MANSFIELD — The Truckers had five wrestlers finish as runners-up, leading to a second-place finish at the Mansfield Madison Tom Ellis Classic. Mansfield Madison won the team title with 299.5 points while Norwalk had 184.5 points. Sandusky took 10th with 57.5 points. Aldynn Metzger (132 pounds), Joseph Goebel (150), Ayden Hudson Brown (157), Nico Helton (175) and Cooper Gee (285) were all second for Norwalk. Sandusky's Jordan Conway was second at 113.
