Much excitement for Engineered Plastic Components

FREMONT — Those at the Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce and Sandusky County Economic Development Corp. recently celebrated Engineered Plastic Components on its third Ohio location, now based at 1410 Motor Ave. in Fremont, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. "We are grateful for their investment in Sandusky County," according to a corporation statement. "Thank you to our partners at the chamber of commerce of Sandusky County for helping us host this event and to the Regional Growth Partnership Northwest Ohio and JobsOhio for helping us bring this project to fruition." The chamber also touted this development, previously reported as a $13.5 million financial commitment, noting the company's "investment is a major win for Sandusky County, breathing new life into a 300,000 square-foot (and the) former Inoac building, creating 150 new jobs and strengthening our local manufacturing economy," the chamber stated. Reza Kargarzadeh, the company's president and CEO, attended the event to share Engineered Plastic Components' vision for the future "as the company expands production capacity, supports its long-standing Whirlpool partnership and grows into the automotive sector with clients, like Honda, Ford and GM," the chamber statement read. "This new location positions Engineered Plastic Components to support emerging technologies, including electric vehicles and further advance next-generation manufacturing." "This expansion allows us to increase production capacity, diversify our product offerings and better meet the needs of both consumer appliance and automotive markets," Kargarzadeh said. The company's "commitment to Sandusky County reflects the strength of our workforce, our logistics advantages and the collaborative spirit of our region," the chamber statement read. "We're excited to welcome (Engineered Plastic Components) to Fremont and look forward to the growth, innovation and opportunities this expansion will bring."
