Forum provides behind-the-scenes look at Cedar Point

HURON TWP. — The Greater Sandusky Partnership will host a Cedar Point-centric forum for its members and the community. It takes place from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11 at Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron. The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. At this event, attendees will gain an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the regional attraction of Cedar Point through a conversation with park leaders: Jason McClure and Colleen Murphy-Brady of Six Flags. The event will explore Cedar Point's past, present and future, opening a dialogue for the community. "Ohio's tourism sector continues to foster a positive economic impact, and Cedar Point is proud to be a major key to the region's success," said McClure, the senior vice president of park operations for Six Flags. "We look forward to having this engaging dialogue with our community as we build on the momentum we've started," McClure added. "The future is bright for Cedar Point, the city of Sandusky and all of Ohio." Cedar Point entertains more than 3 million guests annually and employs 5,000-plus associates during peak season. "We continue to develop new and exciting ways to not only drive visitors to our region but to be a catalyst for development opportunities within our team as they seek successful careers in our industry," said Brady, park manager of Cedar Point. Tax and visitor revenues associated with the park have enabled major local infrastructure and development initiatives.
