Enjoy these holidays happenings

2025 really flew by, and here we are once again at the doorstep of the holiday season. It's a great time of the year for many, and we are excitedly looking forward to the seasonal staples — the decorations, the hot cocoa and the many beautiful lights adorning homes, trees and community landmarks. All those good things will feature in a number of upcoming community holiday events, headlined by two happening in Sandusky and Norwalk. Sandusky is hosting its annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony at Washington Park, starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28. Expect singing, free visits to the adjoining Merry-Go-Round Museum, shopping available at the nearby Sandusky Christmas Market and much more. Then the next day, Saturday, Nov. 29, Light Up Norwalk returns to the Maple City's Uptown, with skating, crafts, music, a golf cart parade and more lined up. Both events, of course, also feature the "lighting up" of holiday lights on the city's Christmas tree and other decorations. Santa is sure to make an appearance at both events, so don't miss it. We are also preparing our Thanksgiving Edition, a two-day newspaper in the style of the Weekender that will be delivered to Register and Reflector subscribers on Wednesday, Nov. 26. As always, this paper will be packed with local news and sports, not to mention various retailer inserts. Be sure to mark your calendar for Nov. 26, and if you're so inclined, pick up a copy or two for yourself, your family and your friends. Editorial board
