Caryl Crane takes on 'Cinderella'

SANDUSKY — Many organizations and foundations came together to help present the Caryl Crane Youth Theatre production of "Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella." It hits the stage for performances today, Friday and Saturday at the Regional Center for Arts and Academic Studies, 125 E. Adams St., in Sandusky. Those representing Caryl Crane, an education program overseen by the Sandsuky State Theatre, thanked many organizations for making this production possible: the Boeckling Charitable Foundation, the Clark Family Charitable Fund, the Mylander Foundation, Janice Rager and the Wightman-Wieber Foundation. "The most magical fairy tale is here to delight a new generation of theatregoers," according to a youth theater statement. Described as "the perfect family outing, 'Cinderella' is full of warmth and humor with inventive costumes and spectacular music," the statement read. "Packed with beloved songs like 'Ten Minutes Ago,' 'Impossible' and 'In My Own Little Corner,' 'Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella' transports a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams come true," it read. "Featuring a cast of 30 student actors from the Erie County community, this is a show you and your whole family will adore." The production is rated G, suitable for those 5 and older.
