Library offers dinosaur hunt

HURON — From dinosaur hunts and book clubs to coding showcases and movie nights, the Huron Public Library is offering a full slate of engaging programs for all ages this November. As a note: The library, 333 Williams St., Huron, will be closed from noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 7 for a staff development day. It'll also close Nov. 27-28 in observance of Thanksgiving. Here are some featured events with excerpts provided by the district: • DINOVember, all month — Dinosaurs take over the children's department with themed storytimes, giveaways, a coloring contest and a mini dinosaur hunt. • Makers Market, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 — There will be free craft supplies for do-it-yourself enthusiasts. Stock up for holiday projects while supplies last. • Movie Matinee: "Wicked," 2 p.m. on Nov. 9 — Sing along to the hit musical adaptation. Green and pink snacks will be. Copies of the book are available for checkout. • Girls Who Code Final Presentation, 4 p.m. on Nov. 20 — Celebrate the achievements of this season's coding club participants. • Romance Book Club, 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 24 — Meet at Gathering Grounds Coffee House to discuss "Before I Let Go" by Kennedy Ryan.
