Society remembers its roots

BELLEVUE — Bellevue Society for the Arts' 30th season anniversary production returns to where it all began: "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella." It's presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization. Directed by Floyd Collins and sponsored by Firelands Federal Credit Union, performances take place at the society's home, 205 Maple St., Bellevue, on the following days and times: • 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, Saturday, Nov. 8, Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16 • 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 and Sunday, Nov. 16 In 1995, the society's "very first production was 'Cinderella,' and now, three decades later, audiences can relive the magic with this enchanted edition, inspired by the beloved 1997 television version starring Brandy and Whitney Houston," the statement read. 'Filled with humor, heart and classic Rodgers and Hammerstein charm, it's a fairy tale that proves dreams really do come true," it continued.
