Norwalk's Spettle wins top honors

Norwalk junior Claire Spettle has more than 100 career goals, including 37 this season. Spettle was named the Sandusky Bay Conference Most Outstanding Performer when league honors were announced Tuesday. First team keepers were Huron junior Lucy Hinners and Perkins junior Lucy Miller. Those on the first team defenders list included Norwalk senior Taryn Temple, Perkins junior Makenna Marianek, Huron junior Chloe Shaw, Bellevue freshman Angela Sanchez and Norwalk senior Ella Andrews. Perkins junior Jordyn Brunner led the area contingent of first team midfielders. Also named was Norwalk junior CJ Bennett, Edison senior Kellyn Ritchie, Huron sophomore Lillian Thompson and Port Clinton senior Emma Knecht. Spettle led the area on the first team attackers list. She was also joined by Perkins junior Isabella Ramirez, Huron junior Ava Manner, Clyde sophomore Meredith Greenslade and Edison senior Sophie Baker. Edison sophomore Ella Rogers was a second team pick at keeper. Second team defenders included Perkins sophomore Allie Brunner, Port Clinton sophomore Kerstin Thompson, Edison seniors Mary Moon and Peyton Koch and Clyde senior Addison Townsley. Those on the second team midfielders selections included Bellevue freshman Lyla Young, Norwalk senior Audrey Sanders, Perkins junior Emma Mullins, Vermilion senior Kaylee Herchler, Port Clinton senior Gabbie Heilmann and Clyde senior Ingvild Krokann. Rounding out the second team picks were the attackers. That included Vermilion sophomore Morgan Frenk, Norwalk senior Xavi Immel, Port Clinton sophomore Addisyn Mooney, Bellevue senior Reece Young, Huron junior Erin Findley and Perkins junior Ireland Hart.
