Response to letter

For those of you that follow the Letters to the Editor, especially all my friends that look forward to my letters, know that some opposing letter submitters and I are definitely on different sides of the spectrum. With all the recent events I wrote a letter to the editor ("Here's Johnny," Sept. 22 Sandusky Register) that was very civil and non-confrontational. Not to divide but talking about coming together. There was a recent response, "Here's Donny" (Oct. 1 Sandusky Register) that discussed bullying by President Trump but not the actions of the other side. Let's examine the other side's actions. Who sat behind President Trump during his State Of the Union address, made faces and ripped of his speech on live TV. Which side of the aisle was very disruptive and disrespectful during Trump's speech to Congress earlier this year. Who called Trump, MAGA followers, and Republicans "enemies of the state" racists, xenophobes, domestic terrorists, nazis, fascists, dictators. Sounds like Newton's third law: "To every action there is always an opposed reaction." I kept my previous letter non-confrontational but maybe if we stopped these actions on both sides we can all come together like the country did after Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Daniel DeNardy Sandusky
