EHOVE • EHOVE superintendent Chris McCully met with the career center's EHOVE Ambassadors. The ambassadors are students who represent the school and their individual programs at community events, at their home schools and on social media on their program's pages. DANBURY • Danbury Schools announced its homecoming court EDISON • Edison Schools announced its homecoming court, king and queen. Ilah Reynolds won homecoming queen, and Tyler Pounds is the school's king. • Mary Moon was announced as the September Student of the Month at Edison High School. NORWALK • Enrollment for Norwalk Schools' LifeWise program is now open. The program is in its fourth year of operation and is open to students in second through sixth grade this fall. Students in Main Street Intermediate School, Pleasant Elementary School and League Elementary can join the program at the LifeWise website or sign up through the public school PeachJar notifications. Classes are free and nondenominational. They take place off school property and are privately funded and parent-permitted. An open house for the second and third grade students will be hosted at The Chapel, 156 South Norwalk Road, on Nov. 5 from 6-7 p.m. This will be a chance for parents and students to meet the teachers and see their classrooms before class on Nov. 7. Fourth- through sixth-grade students can visit the First Baptist Church, 67 E. Main St., for their open house on Oct. 8 from 6-7 p.m. Their classes begin on Oct. 14-15. GENOABANK • GenoaBank wrapped up its Annual Scholarship Golf Outing. The 27th annual outing was hosted Sept. 12 at the Oak Harbor Golf Club in Oak Harbor. It is a way to provide scholarships to local students planning to study business at either a two-year or four-year institution. This year, the money collected will benefit Cardinal Stritch, Clay, Danbury, Fremont Ross, Genoa, Lake, Maumee, Northwood, Northview, Oak Harbor, Perrysburg, Port Clinton, Put-in-Bay, Rossford, St. Joseph Central Catholic, Southview, Toledo Christian, Waite and Woodmore. PORT CLINTON • Port Clinton students experienced The Hovercraft Project. Students built, tested and competed against other fifth-grade students in this STEM activity. Port Clinton Eagles 2295 funded the experience. BENTON-CARROLL-SALEM • The Oak Harbor Art Club's 28 seventh- and eighth-grade students learned about Spanish culture and created melting clocks like Salvador Dali. They also enjoyed homemade quesadillas. FIRELANDS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION • Firelands Federal Credit Union donated a total of $3,000 to several organizations in support of education.
