Event to remember, celebrate Lauralee Krabill

SANDUSKY — An upcoming fundraiser benefits the foundation named in memory of a beloved local nurse. Many events will take place to benefit the fifth-annual Lauralee S. Krabill Nursing Foundation throughout the day and early evening on Saturday inside and outside of Clubhouse No.3 SportSocial, 220 E. Water St., Sandusky. The event does begin at noon. Here's what's in store: • A 50/50 raffle; All raffle prizes will be drawn following the conclusion of Ohio State's game, which starts at 3:30 p.m.. • Auction items • Cornhole tournament, which starts at noon • Live music from Trailer Park Ninjas, which starts at noon • Food and drinks • Watch parties on the big screen for the Cleveland Guardians and Ohio State Buckeyes • Free mammograms provided by the Cleveland Clinic "This event is all about coming together to celebrate, support and make a difference in nursing education and care," according to an event statement. "Help us spread the word. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors. You won't want to miss it." Proceeds of the event benefit the Lauralee S. Krabill Nursing Foundation, named in honor of Lauralee Krabill, a local nurse and educator who passed away in 2021 after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The foundation funds a scholarship for the Sandusky Career Center's nursing program. "Our foundation provides assistance to those seeking to pursue a career in nursing and support to the education programs established by Lauralee," the event statement read.
