Time to lace up for 5K

SANDUSKY — This year's Blue Streak Pride 5K returns later this month. On Saturday, those representing Citizens for Sandusky Public School will host the race at Strobel Field at Foundation Stadium. This year, there is a new Unified Track & Field Power Hour theme before the run. The unified hour will run from 8-9 a.m. and will be a time for walking or running around the track as well as participating in fun and inclusive games on the football field. Registration is $5 for unified participants and is available online. Now in its 11th year, the 5K will take place immediately after the power hour and has a separate registration that can be found using the same link. Registration for the race starts at 7:30 a.m. This event is hosted for fitness as well as to celebrate inclusion, school pride and the community. Students, families and Sanduskians can come together, support each other and make memories. Want to go?
