PORT CLINTON • Port Clinton High School celebrated 50 years of having a girls tennis team. The district invited former coaches and players out to the courts to reminisce on their time at the net. NORWALK CATHOLIC SCHOOL • St. Paul High School senior student Everett Beal passed his private pilot license test. SANDUSKY CENTRAL CATHOLIC SCHOOL • Sandusky Central Catholic School invited Eric Wood to Steve Kohler's class to be the first speaker of this year's Teen Leadership Corps class. Wood is an employee owner at OE Meyer in Sandusky. He spoke to students about the company's history dating back to 1918, taught about the innovations of welding and the need for trade careers. NORWALK • Maplehurst Elementary School students participated in a recycling program. With the help of the high school's Teen Leadership Corps, the younger students collected 16 bags of recycling from classrooms. EHOVE • EHOVE Future Leaders celebrated its 280 high school members with its annual fun day. Students enjoyed Bone Boy's BBQ & Catering, Kona Ice and fun activities like sports and crafts. VANGUARD • Vanguard Sentinel Career & Technology Center celebrated the retirement of Michelle Seigley. Seigley has been an employee at the center for 41 years. She was celebrated with a "clap out," a tradition in which staff and students cheer in a line down the hall as she does her final walk-through. EDISON • Edison Schools celebrated students with perfect attendance. PERKINS • Annabelle Wadsworth and De'Shaun Harper were crowned Perkins Schools' 2025 Homecoming queen and king.
