New building to attract investment, create jobs

FREMONT — Many people, including those affiliated with the Sandusky County Economic Development Corp., celebrated with Fremont officials on the recent groundbreaking of the local government's newest spec building within HP Young Industrial Park, 2340 Castalia Road. Spec buildings are built by developers with the goal of attracting tenants during or shortly after construction. "This 100,000-square-foot industrial building is anticipated to be completed in May next year and will open up opportunities to attract new investments, create jobs and stimulate growth in Fremont and Sandusky County," according to a county corporation statement. The county corporation specifically thanked two city leaders, Mayor Danny Sanchez and economic development director Bob Gross, "for their hard work and dedication on this project." Additionally, "This project would not be possible without the investment from KF Construction & Excavating and Janotta & Herner to bring this building to HP Young Industrial Park," it read. "These companies are great assets to Sandusky County and the (county corporation) as current investors." During the ceremony, there were countless mentions of collaborations. "It's true that this industrial park and this spec building wouldn't have come to fruition without the collaboration" of Fremont's government, the Fremont Development Corp. the Sandusky County Economic Development Corp, JobsOhio, the Regional Growth Partnership and Croghan Colonial Bank, the statement read. "Thank you to all of these organizations for your continued investment and commitment to Sandusky County," the county corporation statement read.
