Walk the Steps of Hope

PERKINS TWP. — At 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, our community will gather for the Steps of Hope event at the Erie County office building, 2900 Columbus Ave., Sandusky — located right beside the Erie County Fairgrounds — for a powerful initiative focused on mental health and suicide prevention. This event is a call to action, a reminder that every step we take together helps break the silence, reduce stigma and offer hope to those who may be struggling. The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Erie County is deeply grateful for our partners throughout Erie County and beyond who have joined forces to support this cause. From local organizations and service providers to volunteers and advocates, their collaboration has been inspiring and reflects the heart of our community. Whether you are walking in memory of a loved one, in support of someone currently facing challenges or simply to show solidarity, your presence matters. We invite everyone to join us for the walk followed by good food, ice cream, games and prizes and raffles from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — all in the spirit of raising awareness and promoting healing.
