'Growing' into a new space

MILAN TWP. — Growers Mineral Solutions recently broke ground on a brand-new production and office facility. It tasked Janotta & Herner as the project's general contractor. "This new space will reflect their commitment to both efficiency and environmental responsibility," according to a statement from Janotta in reference to Growers, noting this new space will include: • A modernized production area • Updated administrative offices • Energy-efficient systems "Not only will this new facility strengthen operations, but it will also enhance Growers Mineral Solutions' ability to continue serving customers across North America," Janotta's statement read. A primer on the project Earlier this year, Milan-based Growers Mineral Solutions — which produces and sells high-quality, non-toxic liquid fertilizer — discussed its eventual move from Lockwood Road to Milan Road (U.S. 250) beside the interchange for Interstate 90/the Ohio Turnpike: We're thrilled to announce that the estimated groundbreaking for our brand-new production and office facility will take place in early fall. This significant milestone marks the beginning of a new era for Growers Mineral, as we expand to better serve our customers across North America. The design (for the new building) reflects our commitment to both efficiency and environmental responsibility. It will feature a modernized production area, updated administrative offices and energy-efficient systems throughout. Built with growth and long-term impact in mind, this facility will enhance our ability to deliver high-quality products while minimizing our environmental footprint. Going into our 70th year of business, this is an important and exciting step, as it will give us the opportunity to help more farmers and other customers far into the future. The new modern and efficient facility will continue to produce the same high-quality, 70-year-old proven formula: Growers Mineral Solution. We want to reassure you that we will put measures in place to ensure there will be no disruption to the production and distribution of Growers Mineral Solutions. This new facility will be partially funded with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's fertilizer production expansion program grant and will not negatively impact the price of (company products). The facility construction will use local contractors, and the infrastructure will be governed by the requirements of Section 70914 of the Build America, Buy America Act. Growers Mineral Solutions is: • A 10-20-10 non-toxic, environmentally-friendly, high-quality liquid fertilizer that can be used for crops, landscapes and as a nutritional supplement for livestock • Safe, easy-to-handle, and simple to apply • One of the few products on the market today that can help farmers comply with Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation, nutrient management and other environmental regulations • In 27 U.S. states and two Canadian provinces: Ontario and Quebec Note: There's no public timeline for when construction could end.
