Police investigating 'sexually explicit' video

PERKINS TWP. — Perkins police are investigating a sexually explicit video being shared among students across multiple local school districts. An 18-year-old Perkins Schools student allegedly created the video and shared it with a 16-year-old Perkins Schools student, according to an online post from the department. That student's Snapchat account was then accessed by a 14-year-old Edison Schools student. "Charges are expected in the near future for both the 14-year-old and 18-year-old," the post states. "This sexually explicit video was being shared by multiple people and sent to multiple juveniles throughout multiple schools. The Perkins police post continued: "This is a criminal matter by each individual that shares this type of video with a juvenile. We also can't emphasize enough with students that they should never allow or provide other students their login and passwords for their social media accounts." The department also advised parents to talk with their children and "make sure they understand what they are doing on social media and the repercussions that could take place." "For Perkins Schools, (school resource Officer Jacob) Marsinick can always be contacted to answer any questions you might have," the post states.
