PREP ROUNDUP: Monroeville tops Clyde in 4

CLYDE — Addison Homan picked up 44 digs, lifting the Monroeville defense, and the Eagles topped Clyde 21-25, 25-20, 28-26, 28-26, in non-league action Tuesday. Madi Reiber (two aces) topped Monroeville (5-2) with 13 kills while Alexa Adams (three aces) had 11 kills and eight digs. Ady Adams added 10 kills, three aces and two blocks and Riley Platte had nine kills and three blocks. Addison Lyons contributed 23 assists, Kaci Poths had 18 assists and eight digs, and Maddy Miller added 15 digs. Clyde fell to 3-6 with the loss. Danbury 3, Hopewell-Loudon 1 BASCOM — The Lakers defeated Hopewell-Loudon 25-19, 16-25, 25-17, 25-19, in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division play. Lauren Bergman led the Danbury (3-6, 2-2 SBC River) defense with 29 digs while Cali Wunder tallied 17 assists. Avery Bowling had nine kills, five blocks and three aces for the Lakers. Open Door Christian 3, Vermilion 1 ELYRIA — The Patriots defeated Vermilion in non-league action, 21-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-21. Emma Gebhardt led the Sailors (2-5) with nine kills while Sophie Habermehl had 16 digs and seven kills. Delaney Russell contributed 22 digs and seven assists. Lauren Logsdon added 12 assists.
