Inaugural memorial nursing scholarship winner named

SANDUSKY — During a recent ceremony, the Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing honored the late Brenna Pravlik. A few weeks ago, the school worked with Brenna's husband, Tyler Pravlik, who established a memorial scholarship in hopes of remembering her life by financially assisting those pursuing a career in nursing. The school noted she "loved helping educate students." Then, in late August, Tyler reviewed applications for those seeking to receive the inaugural Brenna Pravlik Memorial Nursing Scholarship. "Tyler presented this scholarship award to Mallory Jamison, one of our senior students," according to a school statement, noting how her "application was chosen by Tyler personally." "A big congratulations to Mallory and a thank you again to Tyler," the school noted. "Brenna's memory will always live on, and she will continue doing what she loved, helping future nurses." Want to help? Brenna, 29, of Sandusky, passed away in 2024. She worked as a registered nurse at Firelands Regional Medical Center since 2018. People can still donate toward the scholarship, which aims to be an annual award given out by the school and Tyler.
