'Constant source of positivity' retires

SANDUSKY — The Erie County Health Department and Erie County Community Health Center recently announced the retirement of long-time employee Dawn Williams. She retired on Aug. 27. Williams, who's retiring after 31 years of dedicated service to the agency and the community, began her career at the health department in 1994 as a clerk. With a strong work ethic and a commitment to professional growth, she put herself through school to become a dental assistant. In 2016, she transitioned into her new role where she's been a vital part of the health department's dental clinic ever since. "Dawn is an incredible example of dedication and ingenuity," county health commissioner Pete Schade said. "She started here with a desire to serve her community and, through hard work and perseverance, built a remarkable career. Her bright energy and support for everyone at the agency will be greatly missed." As a dental assistant, Williams has been a bright and shining energy, serving as a pillar of support for her colleagues and the community. Her commitment to her work and her role as a valuable community resource have made a lasting impact on the health department's dental services. "Dawn is an amazing person and an even more amazing employee," said Jessica Camera, the health department's dental supervisor. "She is a testament to the power of hard work and has been a constant source of positivity. While we are sad to see her go, we wish her a happy and well-deserved retirement." The entire team at the health department/community health center extends its deepest gratitude to Williams for her years of service and wishes her all the best in her retirement.
