Crowbar building sold

SANDUSKY — A downtown Sandusky building recently sold. The multi-use building at 206 W. Market St., home of the now-shuttered Crowbar tavern, sold on Aug. 18, according to the Erie County auditor Rick Jeffrey. Crowbar Rentals sold the structure to Havein Fun for $350,000. Havein Fun is a company registered with the Ohio Secretary of State by Dave Bier. Bier also operates Daly's Pub, Landmark Kitchen and Bar and Shore House Tavern, all in downtown Sandusky. The first floor of the West Market Street building houses the former Crowbar. The upper floors contain apartments. It wasn't immediately clear if the new ownership intended to reopen Crowbar or not. How we got here The Crowbar tavern closed in late May. A sign posted on the front door said that the premises had been repossessed by the "titled owner, Crowbar Rentals LLC." The actual business name is Crowbar. It is a subsidiary of Rainbow Kitten Entertainment, according to the Ohio Secretary of State's business website. Rainbow Kitten's registered agent is Cynthia Gunderson of Port Clinton. Contact information for her was unavailable. Crowbar Rentals LLC's registered agent is Michael Shullick. A message left with him was not returned as of late Friday. A message left for Bier was not returned as of late Friday.
