Sutton Center showing off new art exhibit

PORT CLINTON — The Sutton Center is unveiling a fresh new art display featuring original works created by members of the Port Clinton Artists' Club. "This rotating exhibit highlights the creativity and talent of local artists, offering the community a chance to enjoy and even purchase unique pieces of art close to home," according to an event statement. "The Sutton Center gallery is more than just a space to view artwork: It's a gathering place where creativity meets community," it added. "Each rotation of the exhibit brings something new, different styles, mediums and perspectives, ensuring there's always a reason to return." All artwork is available for sale, "making it the perfect opportunity to support both local artists and the cultural fabric of Port Clinton," the statement read. Adding to the experience is Bistro 163, located right inside the Sutton Center. This nonprofit, pay-it-forward cafe is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays, serving up meals crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. "At Bistro 163, every plate has purpose: When you dine, you're not only enjoying nourishing food but also helping ensure others in the community can share a meal, regardless of ability to pay," the statement read. "It's food with heart,and a mission that pairs beautifully with the inspiration found in the gallery." Want to go? The Sutton Center exhibit is free and open to the public during building hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays at 1848 E. Perry St, Port Clinton. "We love seeing art and community come together in this space," said Deb Ammos, vice president and chair of the Sutton Center Gallery. "Visitors can enjoy the beauty of local creativity, then walk a few steps to enjoy a meal that gives back. It's truly an uplifting experience."
