FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Hohler throws 5 TD passes in Huron rout

BLOOMEDALE — Landon Hohler threw five touchdown passes and ran for two scores to lead Huron to a 48-12 non-conference win at Elmwood on Friday. Caleb Staley caught two touchdown passes, including a 29-yard score with seven seconds left in the first half to give Huron a 34-6 lead. Hohler then hit Staley for a 60-yard score two minutes into the third quarter. Hohler also connected with Robert Fisher on an 18-yard scoring pass, a 4-yard score to Jack Raglow and a 15-yard score to Roman Hadola. The Tigers improved to 1-1 on the season. Huron hosts Genoa (1-1) on Friday. Port Clinton 53, Fostoria 7 FOSTORIA — Port Clinton dominated Fostoria 53-7 in non-league action. Malakii Pinkelton rushed for 60 yards to lead the Redskins (2-0). Sophomore quarterback Landon Leis completed 9 of 20 passes for 162 yards. Six different PC receivers caught passes, led by Gavin Cornell's four receptions for 61 yards. Port Clinton travels to Oak Harbor (2-0) on Friday. Bores had 25 rushes for 114 yards for the Eagles, who travel to Seneca East (1-1) on Friday.
