PHOTOS: Wrestling show delivers fun, feuds

NORWALK — Many people attended the Olde Wrestling Extravaganza's event on Sunday, Aug. 24 at the Huron County Fairgrounds. Attendees took in "vintage wrestling with characters plucked right out of the Roaring '20s," according to an event statement. Many people even dressed up from this era of yesteryear. "Olde Wrestling brings a blend of bodyslams and belly laughs to a wide range of audience members," the statement read. Proceeds raised from the event, such as through admission, will benefit the Norwalk Area United Fund. Since its inception, the event has generated almost $5,900 for this nonprofit, which connects people with needed resources in emergency situations. Truly, it's a good time supporting an even greater cause, event organizer Justin Nottke said. "We see people, year after year, bring their family and friends because the show doesn't appeal to just wrestling fans: There's comedy, live music, great food, and it's supporting the Norwalk Area United Fund," said Nottke, a 2004 Bellevue High School graduate. "It's been a pleasure to bring this to the fairgrounds and the Firelands. I truly enjoy bringing this to the area I grew up in."
