Man pleads guilty to child porn charges

NORWALK — A man recently pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges for possessing and uploading child pornography. At a court hearing on Aug. 11, Corbin M.V. Kirchner, 34, who has addresses both listed in Toledo and Greenwich, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, each a fourth-degree felony Kirchner pleaded guilty to the 10 charges in exchange for 10 counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, each a fifth-degree felony and five additional counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, each a second-degree felony, to be dismissed. He is scheduled to be sentenced at 8:45 a.m. on Oct. 1. Background According to Kirchner's January 2024 indictment, the crimes occurred between July 2023 and October 2023. The investigation into Kirchner first began after the Huron County Sheriff's Office received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force that Kirchner had uploaded "obscene material" that depicted minors in a state of nudity or engaging in sexual activity to cloud storage, according to Norwalk Municipal court records. Due to the tip that they received, deputies reportedly found over 20 files that depicted child pornography, which led authorities to execute a search warrant at Kirchner's residence in Greenwich, where they seized a Samsung phone, court documents state. Kirchner reportedly "admitted to uploading multiple obscene images involving juveniles."
