PREP ROUNDUP: Camp scores 4 goals as Perkins boys roll

OLD FORT — Perkins' boys went on the road and dominated Old Fort 9-2 in its Sandusky Bay Conference opener Monday. Kaden Camp scored four goals for the Pirates, who improved to 2-0-1 overall and 1-0 in the SBC. Titus Normington-Slay and Kannyn Henson each added a goal and an assist. Jackson Cassidy, Mateusz Dixon, Graham Zimmerman each scored a goal. Maddox Boggs finished with two assists while Ashton Wadsworth had one assist. Danny Buga made eight saves and added an assist. Vermilion 3, Huron 1 HURON — Vermilion took a 3-0 halftime and picked up a Sandusky Bay Conference win. Paul Murray scored the only goal for Huron (0-3, 0-1 SBC). Norwalk 4, Port Clinton 0 NORWALK — Norwalk shut out Port Clinton to improve to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the Sandusky Bay Conference. Frankie Dolce, Landon Ferkel, Johan Ramos and Elliot Gahring all scored goals for the Truckers. Ferkel, Cruz Santiago and Kingston Gonzales added assists. Abe Linder got the shutout in goal. GIRLS SOCCER Perkins 5, Ross 1 FREMONT — Jordyn Brunner scored two goals and added two assists to help Perkins defeat Fremont Ross 5-1 in non-conference action. Isa Ramirez added two goals for the Pirates, who improved to 3-1 on the season. Ireland Hart finished with one goal and one assist and Allie Brunner had an assist. The Pirates host Clyde in Sandusky Bay Conference action at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Clyde 2, Bellevue 1 BELLEVUE — Ingvild Krokann scored both goals for Clyde, who spoiled Bellevue's first girls soccer home game. Mimi Greenslade and Mallory Meggitt had assists for the Fliers. Bellevue's Jersey Mayes scored an unassisted goal late in the first half. Macey Carter made seven saves in goal for Clyde. Huron 2, Vermilion 1 HURON — Huron broke a scoreless game at halftime with two goals in the second half. After Vermilion's Morgan Frenk scored on a penalty kick to give the Sailors the lead, the Tigers answered. Lilly Thompson tied the score with a free kick from 28 yards. Meredith James added the winner by scoring on a corner kick by Thompson. Huron improved to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the Sandusky Bay Conference. Woodmore 6, Edison 1 MILAN TWP. — Kellyn Ritchie scored the lone goal for the Chargers with 10 minutes remaining in the second half. Edison (1-3, 1-1 SBC) hosts Bellevue at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Norwalk 3, Port Clinton 1 NORWALK — Norwalk's Claire Spettle and Taryn Temple each scored off penalty kicks and CJ Bennett scored off a pass from Kira Sandor to lift the Truckers (3-1) to a win in their Sandusky Bay Conference opener. Addysyn Mooney scored Port Clinton's lone with an assist from Emma Knecht. VOLLEYBALL Willard 3, Bellevue 2 WILLARD — Willard rallied to defeat Bellevue 20-25, 21-25, 25-21, 26-24, 15-12 in a SBC crossover. Calie Cramer led Bellevue with 18 kills and five blocks. Finley LaPata added 16 kills while Kaitlyn Turinsky finished with 13. Ellie Freitag recorded 54 assists for the Lady Red. Kate Baptista had 26 digs and LaPata added 24. BOYS GOLF SMCC second in River shootout PORT CLINTON — St. Mary Central Catholic finished at 182 — one shot behind Tiffin Calvert in a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division shootout at Catawba Island Club. The Panthers' Blake Finneran was medalist with a 38. Joey Finneran shot a 42. Also for SMCC was Pravir Gorty shooting a 49 and Cullen Dillard carding a 53. Danbury finished fifth out of 11 teams with a 192. Evan Sandvick (43), Miles McDonald (47) and Frankie Kovach (48) led the Lakers. Norwalk 183, Buckeye Central 221 NORWALK — Norwalk had the top four placers to dominate Buckeye Central at Eagle Creek Golf Club. Emytt Graffice and Cohen Shoop led the Truckers with 45s. Caleb Thompson (46) and Jarrett Scheid (47) rounded out the Truckers' balanced card. Oak Harbor 172, Margaretta 173 OAK HARBOR — Landon Ish shot a 38 to lead Oak Harbor to a one-stroke victory over Margaretta at Oak Harbor Golf Course. No Margaretta scores were reported. GIRLS GOLF Norwalk 198, Port Clinton 244 NORWALK — Adyson Lepley shot a 45 to lead Norwalk to a non-conference win over Port Clinton at Eagle Creek.
