PREP ROUNDUP: Edison volleyball beats Clyde in four

MILAN TWP. — Edison turned back Clyde in four sets in a Sandusky Bay Conference volleyball crossover match Thursday. The Chargers won a tight matchup 25-20, 15-25, 25-23, 25-23. Ella Booth had 14 kills, eight digs and two blocks to lead Edison. Dana Preston and Abby Cloud each finished with eight kills. Taylor Moore added 30 digs and Stella Brown finished with 22. Peyton Bissell totaled 17 assists for Edison. Bellevue 3, Monroeville 1 MONROEVILLE — Bellevue knocked off Monroeville in four sets in a non-league battle. For the Eagles (1-1), who fell by scores of 25-23, 21-25, 26-24 and 25-18, Madi Reiber and Alexa Adams each had 12 kills. Ady Adams had 11 kills, while Addison Lyons had 23 assists and Kaci Poths had 14. Defensively for Monroeville, Addison Homan led the way with 39 digs. Addison Lyons finished with 20. No stats were reported by Bellevue (3-1). The Eagles will host Edison and Mohawk Saturday morning in a non-league tri-match. Willard 3, Perkins 1 PERKINS — Willard defeated Perkins 25-23, 25-20, 18-25, 25-13. Ferrell Coleman had 14 kills and Micah Slay added 12 for the Pirates (1-2). Braelyn Davie had 34 assists and 11 digs and Avery Maldonado added 23 digs. BOYS SOCCER Port Clinton 2, Northwood 1 PORT CLINTON — Casey and Wyatt Brand each scored goals to help Port Clinton team turn back Northwood 2-1 in a Sandusky Bay Conference match. Wyatt Brand and Logan Marvicsin each had an assist for the Redskins (1-1). Caden Hanson had eight saves in goal. Perkins 4, Springfield 4 HOLLAND — Titus Normington-Slay scored three goals and Kaden Camp added a goal and assist as Perkins tied Springfield 4-4 in a non-league matchup. Jackson Cassidy and Ryan Wells each had one assist for the Pirates. GIRLS SOCCER Port Clinton 12, Northwood 0 PORT CLINTON — Port Clinton improve to 1-1 with a 12-0 shutout of Northwood. Jesse Cook led PC with three goals and one assist. Addi Mooney added two goals and two assists and Isabella Adkins netted two goals. Audrey Rohrer and Ella Bodi each had a goal and assist while Summer Lopresto and Joey Crannick each scored a goal. GIRLS GOLF Clyde 4th at SJCC Invite FREMONT — Samantha Young fired an 84, leading the Fliers to a fourth-place finish at the SJCC Invitational at Sycamore Hills Golf Course. Clyde finished with a team total of 407. Hopewell-Loudon won by 23 strokes, posting a 368 ahead of Old Fort's 391. Sienna Turner added a 103 for Clyde while Adalynn Siedenburg (108) and Layla Myers (112) rounded out the scoring for the Fliers.
