Lakeside hosting antiques show

LAKESIDE-MARBLEHEAD — Lakeside Chautauqua will host its 64th-annual antique show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday in Lakeside. Please note that buying is not permitted before 9 a.m. More than 85 dealers will showcase antiques in Wesley Lodge, South Auditorium, Wo-Ho-Mis Lodge and outdoors, happening rain or shine. Guests can browse a selection of treasures, including furniture, glassware, quilts, fine and costume jewelry, kitchenware, sports memorabilia, books, postcards, area souvenirs, linens, sterling silver and more. That evening at 7:30 p.m., Brass Transit takes the Hoover Auditorium stage with a concert honoring the legendary band Chicago. More than a tribute act, Brass Transit captures the spirit and sound of timeless hits like "Saturday in the Park," "If You Leave Me Now," and "You're the Inspiration." Admission, parking Lakeside Chautauqua is a nonprofit community that requires guests to purchase a Chautauqua pass and an auto pass to enter the grounds from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. A Chautauqua pass includes admission to Lakeside plus access to Hoover Auditorium entertainment, the pool, wellness center and a variety of Chautauqua experiences. A daily Chautauqua pass is valid from the date of entry until 7 p.m. the following day, allowing guests to enjoy nearly two full days of summertime fun. For antique enthusiasts, a special antique show pass will be available for purchase online or at the Fifth Street or South Gate entrances for $12 if a daily, weekly or season Chautauqua pass has not already been purchased. This special pass includes parking but does not include access to the Hoover Auditorium concert, the pool or the wellness center. The pass is valid from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
