PREP ROUNDUP: Edison girls win shootout behind Seville's 34

WILLARD — Edison junior Annabelle Seville shot a 2-under-par 34, leading the Chargers to a Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division shootout win Thursday at the Willard Golf Course. The Chargers won with a team score of 180. Huron (191) was second, followed by Willard (194), Margaretta (199), Vermilion (208) and Port Clinton (223). Ella Rogers added a 47 for Edison while Leah Sharp had a 48. Averi Wolf rounded out the Chargers' scoring with a 51. Ashytn Spooner was second overall with a 37 for Huron. Ava McFee added a 43 for the Tigers. Ellaynah Schaefer topped Margaretta with a 42 while Ellyse Schaefer fired a 47. Joscelyn Alvarado was best for Vermilion with a 47. Colleen Traut carded a 50. Leading Port Clinton was Lillie Fox's 42. Perkins 199, Danbury 202 OAK HARBOR — Danbury's Miranda Evans had the best score of the day (42), but Perkins defeated the Lakers at the Oak Harbor Golf Club. Ireland Hart topped the Pirates with a 45 while Maycee Bohn and Ava Quillen each tallied a 51. Aubrey Ransom rounded out the scoring for Perkins with a 52. Ashley Lewis added a 50 for Danbury while Alexa Hamann shot a 53 and Charley Lenthe and Addison Rader carded 57s. Norwalk takes 3rd at Lexington LEXINGTON — Adyson Lepley and Emerson Ulery each carded a 98, leading the Truckers to a third-place finish at Oak Tree Golf Course. Dublin Jerome won the event with a team score of 370 while Norwalk tallied a 404. Evelyn Welschenbach shot a 103 and Catherine Beamer rounded out Truckers' scoring with a 105. BOYS GOLF SMCC wins River shootout FOSTORIA — St. Mary Central Catholic's Blake Finneran fired a 2-under 34, leading the Panthers to a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division shootout win at Fostoria Country Club. SMCC took the win with a team total of 163 while Tiffin Calvert was second with a 168. Just seven strokes separated third-place Old Fort (170) from seventh-place Danbury (177). Pravir Gorty added a 40 for the Panthers while Leo Will (44) and Joey Finneran (45) rounded out the team scoring. Frankie Kovach led Danbury with a 42. Evan Sandvick, Mason Kihlken and Danny Carroll each shot a 45 for the Lakers. Perkins takes 4th at Mohawk TIFFIN — Ty Obergefell shot a 80 as the Pirates took fourth in a deep field at the Columbian Invitational at Mohawk Golf and Country Club. Anthony Wayne (316), Toledo St. John's (322) and Columbian (337) took the top three spots. Perkins finished with a team mark of 340 while Edison (402) was 10th. Josh Cummings added an 85 for the Pirates. Kyle Schaefer (86) and Colton Kelley (89) rounded out the scoring for Perkins. Owen Price topped Edison with a 96. Mason Hermes added a 100 and Hayden Lewis carded a 102.
