Big Splash Raffle offers huge cash prizes

SANDUSKY— A popular event, which gives people the opportunity to win money and even take home vehicles, comes back this weekend. On Friday and Saturday, the Dean Howman Memorial Big Splash Raffle will return to the Sandusky Bay Pavilion, 605 E. Water St. More than $250,000 in cash and prizes are up for grabs over the two-day fundraiser. In addition to $90,000 in cash, other marquee items ticketholders can claim include several vehicles: a Jeep Compass, a Chevy Trax, a Ford Bronco, a Harley-Davidson Heritage, a Kawasaki Utility ATV, two Pedego electric bikes and more. People can still also drop by the museum, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Saturday, to buy them. And, while supplies last, they can grab them at the fundraiser site on Friday and Saturday. Beyond the drawings, which start in earnest at 1 p.m. Saturday, attendees can drop by Friday night for the Bash Before the Splash, going from 5-9 p.m. at the pavilion. Guests don't need to purchase a ticket to attend. At the Bash Before the Splash, people can buy raffle tickets, enjoy food and drinks and listen to a performance by Buckshot, which takes the stage at 6 p.m. Then, on Saturday, the drawing starts at 1 p.m. People don't need to be present to win.
