PORT CLINTON — Road warriors for almost a week, the Port Clinton tennis team returned home and got a 5-0 shutout win over Perkins on Wednesday. PC played at Bryan and on consecutive days in Norwalk before an early-week trip to Cincinnati. The Redskins improved to 2-0 while the Pirates fell to 2-1. Danbury shot a 206 and was led by Miranda Evans, who shot a 48. Ashley Lewis and Charley Lenthe each shot 52 and Alexa Hamann finished at 54. Hopewell-Loudon and Old Fort each shot 180s to lead the field. Fremont St. Joseph's Ryan Dickman was medalist with a 2-under-par 34. Old Fort's Sarah Combs shot a 38. Huron 212, St. Paul 224 NORWALK — Ashtyn Spooner fired a 46, leading the Tigers to a non-league win over St. Paul at Eagle Creek. Alia Bogard led the Flyers with a 52 while Aubrey Dilger shot a 54. BOYS GOLF Oak Harbor 194, Port Clinton 227 PORT CLINTON — Oak Harbor defeated Port Clinton in a non-conference matchup at Catawba Island Club. OH's Jacob LaLonde shot a 45 to lead the way. The Rockets also got a 46 from Landon Ish and a 47 from Paxon Alge. Mason Short led PC with a 54 while Carter Thompson carded a 56.
