Field trip to the farm

SANDUSKY — Well, Summer Break Camp LOL's last day was this past Friday. It was a bittersweet day as we have spent the last eight, yes eight, weeks with these kiddos. Our day included our final field trip out to Maple Crest Horse Farms. Shout out to Miss Joyce and her team for creating a rotation of four stops/activities for our little cowgirls and cowboys. Joyce Moyer and her team coordinated a four-station experience for our kiddos that included a farm tour on the back of a trailer, a grooming and safety station, a horse-shoeing demonstration and, of course, horseback riding. We divided our 60 kiddos up into four groups with staff leads Denaryon Swain, JT Johnson, Jarrien Alexander and Tajay Campbell and rotated throughout the farm. Shout-out to Pizza House East for providing lunch and Sandusky Schools for providing transportation. Now, it's time to breathe for a bit and prepare/plan for the start of the Outta School @ Mills program starting Sept. 8. Stay tuned for when registration goes live for that program.
