FREMONT — Whether you're looking to stretch, craft, read or learn something new, the Birchard Public Library has a packed August schedule full of free programs for all ages. There is a variety of programming at all four locations. The main library, 423 Croghan St., is open Mondays through Saturdays with special summer hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Here are some notable events at the Fremont location: • Free Summer Meals for Kids — 9-10 a.m. and 2-3:30 p.m. on weekdays through Aug. 21, 9-10 a.m.; No registration required. Weekend snack bags are available at 3:30 p.m. on Fridays. • Chair Yoga — 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursdays; Instructor Samantha Pollick leads the sessions. • Hydropoly Game & Eco Workshop — 2-3:30 p.m. on Aug. 5; Learn about wetlands and green living. • Cricut Craft Night: 5:30-7 p.m. on Aug. 12; Create with iron-on materials. Registration is required. Plus several book clubs are happening this month, including for: • "The Tainted Cup" from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Aug. 18 • "Vicious" from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 19 • You Killed Me First from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 All programs are free, but some do require registration.
