Go all-in for All Together Fremont

FREMONT — Downtown Fremont Inc. will host the Croghan Colonial Bank Farmers Market and the Fremont City Schools/Great Lakes Community Action Partnership All Together Fremont Event. It's scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday along Front Street in downtown Fremont. It will coincide with the normal farmers market event. The free event will happen whether or not it rains. Here's what attendees can expect as explained by an event statement: • Learn about history: "Visit specially marked booths throughout the market featuring community members telling stories of their and others' heritage that has brought them to Fremont." • Win gift cards: "Spectators can enhance their knowledge and 'get to know your neighbors.' Participants are encouraged to pick up a cover page for the third volume of this book at the Downtown Fremont Inc. tent at the Front and Garrison streets intersection. By visiting each booth, spectators will receive a new page for their book. The completed books can then be taken to the Downtown Fremont Inc. booth so that you can be entered to win a $100 Think Fremont Community Card that is good at more than 40 locations. Books are kept by the participants to reference for years to come with many more volumes being created at future markets." • Listen to music: "This event will also feature the Simon Metzger Quartet, which will be performing different genres of music that day and will be located in front of the Great Lakes Community Action Partnership building at 127 S. Front St." Guests should know that there will be no parking in certain areas of downtown. People can park in the Brady Lot, which is also handicap accessible. Later on, from 7-9 p.m., the Fremont Community Amphitheater, 209 S. Arch St., will present Ramble On, a "Led Zeppelin tribute band that aspires to authentically capture the raw energy and mystique of the Led Zeppelin legacy," according to the event statement. "Its members balance the original recordings with live performance interpretations of legendary songs," it continued. "You will be transported as you witness Ramble on re-creating the groundbreaking Zeppelin sound. Bring your chairs/blankets to this free rain-or-shine event."
