Cedar Point season pass cheaper than ever

SANDUSKY — This week, 2026 Cedar Point season passes will go on sale, and they'll be cheaper than they ever have been before when factoring in added benefits. Cedar Point has offered a $99 gold pass since the 150th celebration in 2020, offering a great entry point for guests to be able to visit the park all season. But if you wanted to visit other properties in the parent company, like Kings Island or Canada's Wonderland, you had to purchase either a different pass or an all-park passport add-on available in 2025. This week will be the first time Cedar Point offers a $99 gold pass without the need to purchase additional add-ons to visit the other parks. Note: Options like dining and drink plans do require an additional charge to use at other parks. It gets even better now that Cedar Point is operated under the Six Flags parent company umbrella. Not only do guests with a 2026 gold pass get access to all the legacy Cedar Fair parks, but they also get free parking and admission to 40-plus parks in the chain. Cedar Point is coining the term for the new season pass the most valuable pass, often shortened to MVP. With this new access, guests can take the ultimate road trip and experience everything the new Six Flags Entertainment has to offer across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, including: • 288 roller coasters with 133 miles of track • 282 family rides • 970 water slides • 234 pools • 900-plus signature entertainment experiences, including fall fun like Fright Fest and Halloween Haunt, and winter celebrations like Holiday in the Park and WinterFest at select locations Making sense of the dollars and cents The money savings strategy for a family is quite staggering. For example, the cost of a season pass has already dropped substantially over the past several years. For 2026, the price will drop even further. In 2025, our family paid $99 for the gold pass plus an additional $85 for the all-park passport, which got us access to the other parks. Now, for 2026, we further drop that cost down to only $99 since an all-park passport is already included in the base price. This has huge cost benefits for our family. The cost savings can easily be used toward the cost of other add-ons like dining and drink plans. The biggest decision guests will need to make for 2026 is which benefits they plan on using. If a passholder only wants to visit Cedar Point, then that person can add on the home park dining plans, which will be offered for $110. If a guest does plan on visiting the other parks in the Six Flags family, the price increases modestly to $155. At a rough cost of $20 per meal, and season-long dining plan guests get two meals per day, the plan pays for itself in as few as 4 visits. The most valuable pass sale runs through Sept. 1.
